Sarah & Andrew
Sarah and Andrew met at a winery walkabout in Rutherglen. Andy is a cousin of one of Sarah's good friends who invited her along for the day with the theme of the tour being "ugly jumper". Sarah wore a turtleneck with a knitted farm scene and Andy stole the show wearing at hot pink jumper with a diamanté butterfly on the front. There was no way these lovebirds weren't going to make a great couple!
Andy, a farmer and Sarah being a doctor, everyone thought it was unconventional but they made it work through the many harvest and sowing seasons and endless shift work!
Wedding date 29th December 2018- theme was fancy frocks and fun bow ties Wedding gown was Made with Love- Sasha in Ivory from blue belle bridal in melbourne CBD. Sarah loved the top of the dress and wanted to wear something she wouldn’t normally wear! Andrew's Suit was from MJ Bale.
They were married at Christ Church Geelong on McKillop st at Sarah family’s church where she grew up in that community.
"It was amazing to walk down the aisle in a place I knew so well".
Their reception was held at Mt Duneed estate." They were so welcoming and accommodating from the very start. They made us feel like our day was special and accommodated our requests to bring produce (lamb and olive oil) from Andy’s family farm to give it some special touches". Eliza, Christine and Paul created a reception that made Sarah and Andrew feel like they were the only wedding they were organizing!
Sarah and Andrew organised wedding favors that meant something to them; a self serve cookie jar bar of cookies that Sarah had made with her mum in the week before the wedding.
